about dae'jah
Hi, I'm Dae'Jah Foster, AMFT (she/her)
I know life can be hard sometimes — everybody goes through seasons when they need extra support. Maybe you're facing a big life transition, experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one, coping with a painful breakup or divorce, fighting low self-esteem, or dealing with relationship issues. Or, maybe you're feeling unhappy or unfulfilled and you don't know why. Whatever challenge you are facing, I'm here to support you.
About Me
I practice from a holistic and psychoanalytic framework, while integrating a trauma-informed approach in my work with clients. I am passionate about serving the clients I work with, helping them to identify their strengths, guiding them to look within themselves, teaching them new tools to cope, and encouraging them to use their inner resources to create positive changes in their life.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a middle school teacher. After recognizing the immense need for mental health services, I redirected my career to become a therapist. I also chose to become a therapist because I saw it as a great way to help give back to my community and be an advocate on a level that is not always shown.
"being a therapist is a calling for me."

My Favorite Thing About Being a Therapist
It's a privilege to hear a person's story and be a trusted source of support where they can be vulnerable and explore what is and . My favorite part of being a therapist is walking alongside clients during this personal transformation to witness their growth as they gain insight, deepen their self-awareness and develop the skills to meet their goals in life.
